A Bundle of Books is helping to build personal libraries for children one book at a time by providing free, high-quality books to children in the DC metro area.
Why is this important? Because the number of books in a child's home matters. Studies show that as few as 20 books can impact children's education. Research from the National Assessment of Childhood Progress shows that students who report having more books in their homes perform better academically, and that children who have access to print reading materials have better literacy outcomes.
We donate books directly to local schools and organizations for children. Are you looking to donate new or gently used books or want to get involved with our mission?
We offer community events and book readings where people can come together, pick up free books, and drop off new or gently used books.
Do you have new or gently used children's books? We'd love to re-home these books to 0 to 18-year-olds to add to their personal libraries.
We'd love to send books to you if it helps children build their own personal libraries and discover a joy of reading. Our goal is to reach children where impact and direct circulation of books is needed.
At the moment, we are only taking requests from teachers, schools, institutions, and organizations in the DC metro area.
Have a question or want to drop us a line? Let us know, and we'll get back to you soon.
